About VidMate
Last updated:
VidMate is a free web tool for saving public videos from social apps. We started it for people who wanted the convenience of the VidMate Android app on devices where it does not run, such as iPhones and laptops, and for anyone who would rather not install another app.
Our principles
- Public content only. VidMate works with posts anyone can open without logging in. We never ask for social media passwords.
- No storage. Files pass through our server to your browser and are not saved.
- Honest limits. If a platform blocks something, the site says so instead of pretending.
- Tested before listed. A platform is only listed after we have downloaded real posts from it end to end.
What VidMate is not
This website (vidmates.com.pk) is independent. It is not the VidMate Android app, is not made by the app’s developers, and has no connection with YouTube, TikTok, Meta, X Corp., Likee, Pinterest, Snap, Dailymotion, Twitch, SoundCloud, LinkedIn or Bluesky.
Languages
The site is available in English, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Indonesian, Spanish and Portuguese, because most of our visitors use their phones in one of those languages.
