Downloading Likee Videos After the Likee Website Change
If you tried to download a Likee video recently and got “unsupported link” or an empty page, you are not alone. The Likee website changed, and many downloaders stopped working.
What changed
Likee used to show a full video feed at likee.video, with a page for every clip at addresses like likee.video/@user/video/1234…. Downloaders read those pages. Now the website is just a landing page for the app: no feed, and the old clip addresses redirect to the homepage.
What still works: share links
When you share a clip from the Likee app, you get a link like:
https://l.likee.video/v/6k9C2z
That link still opens a small web page made for people who don’t have the app, and that page still contains the clip’s video file, the creator’s nickname, the caption and the cover picture. VidMate reads that page, so the share link is all you need.
Step by step
- Open the clip in the Likee app.
- Tap Share on the right side of the screen.
- Choose Copy link (on some versions under More).
- Open the VidMate Likee downloader and paste the link.
- Tap Download, then Download HD for the video or Download MP3 for the music.
Quality to expect
Likee serves most clips at 576×1024 as MP4 with AAC audio. There is usually only one size, so you get exactly what Likee stores.
When a share link fails
- The clip was deleted or the account went private: the share page then sends visitors to the app store instead.
- The clip is region-locked: Likee hides some videos in some countries.
- You copied a profile or music link instead of the clip’s own link.
Likee clips belong to their creators. Download them for personal viewing.
